The Peregrine is the most cosmopolitan of all the falcons,
being found on all continents except Antarctica. It is a medium sized,
stocky falcon which feeds mainly on birds which are caught in flight,
usually during a spectacular dive (the speed of which has been estimated as
up to 400 km/hr).
